Talk to your library.
It actually answers.
Muvo Scout is the conversational layer over your shelf. Discovery, semantic search, recommendations, memory, and owner-approved Plans for writes. Included with Muvo AI+. Your files stay on your hardware; Scout connects intelligence to what you already own.
Real prompts, real answers from your shelf.
Folder trees and exact-title search are fine for filing. They're terrible at deciding what to watch tonight. Scout closes that gap.
Approved Plans before any write hits the disk.
Scout never silently mutates your library. Anything that writes (playlists, watchlists, watched state, owner-only file moves, metadata refreshes) goes through a Plan card you review and approve.
You ask in plain English
No syntax, no slash commands. Scout reads the prompt against your library, watched state, runtime preferences, and any saved taste signals.
Scout drafts a Plan
For anything that writes (playlists, watchlist edits, owner-only file moves, metadata refreshes), Scout produces a Plan card with the exact actions, files, and IDs.
You approve before anything runs
Owner-only writes never go through silently. You see what would change, can edit it, and tap Approve. Reads (recommendations, lookups) run inline.
What you can ask it to do.
Fewer dead ends, more “yes, that's in my library” moments, and never a write action without review.
- Natural-language “what should I watch?” with unwatched and runtime-aware picks
- Semantic library Q&A: cast, themes, “do I have something like…?”
- Plan cards for confirmed writes: playlists, watchlists, watched state, owner admin tasks
- Memory across messages so follow-ups feel natural, not amnesiac
- Per-user taste signals: every account on the server gets its own Scout context
- Setup help: libraries, transcoding, connectivity, server-owner tasks explained step by step
Scout travels with you.
One conversational layer, four canonical clients. The media-server rail is the visual reference; web, Windows, and Android track against it.
Media Server
Canonical UI lives in AIAssistantPage on the server itself. Every other client tracks against it.
Web App (app.muvo.tv)
Same prompts, same Plans, in any browser. The host dashboard for libraries and billing is here.
Windows Player (WPF)
Scout in the rail with library context, recommendations, and approved Plans for owner actions.
Android Player
Phone, tablet, Shield, and Fire TV. Adaptive layouts and remote-friendly.
Plan and privacy.
Muvo AI+ is a per-user subscription. Everyone on a server can use Muvo on the Free or Premium tiers; each person who wants Scout, semantic search, and the rest of the AI bundle needs their own Muvo AI+ subscription.
Your video files and playback remain under your control on the media server. Chat and advanced AI features use cloud model providers to interpret requests and generate responses; those requests can include text context about your library, such as titles, metadata, watched state, prompts. Muvo keeps storage and streaming local.
Names.“Muvo Scout” is our AI: the conversational experience in the app. “Muvo AI+” is the subscription tier that unlocks Scout along with semantic search, recommendations, voice search, smart playlists, and related AI features. See the FAQ for billing and multi-user details.
